As the bad winter weather draws in and trains in the UK struggle to run properly on the “wrong” type of leaves, we thought that maybe a more practical vehicle is needed to navigate the UK’s roads.
Behold! The VW Tanker Van!
This contraption features a 70HP 3 litre engine and is based on the running gear of a M29 Weasel tracked vehicle which was usually found running around the snow during World War II.
Of course, one of the original versions was amphibious but we doubt this one could actually float and with it’s fuel economy pegged at 5 miles per gallon, not very economical to run.
Glastonbury anyone?
